Take Down a Wall in Extension

    Hi all,

We have a small extension at the back of our house.

This extension was partitioned using a very light wall (you can feel/hear how hollow it is when you knock on it). Basically this wall is not holding the room up.

I am wondering what the cost would be to knock this wall down? The other side the floor is lower, as on one side we raised the floor up, so the other side we would have to raise the floor too. I assume this would all add to it. The room is not big at all.

Shouldnt be a big expense if its not a supporting wall.

    Expose the wall carefully.
Even structural block walls can sound hollow when fitted with standard plasterboard on dabs (depending on where you tap)
