    Hi all

A question re: Susi Grant for Master's degree - I'm currently self employed and also receive a payment on social welfare (allowance means tested)
I am looking to apply for a masters degree and would qualify for a susi grant which would cover the costs of the masters -
Do I have to also apply for BTEA?
I'm not sure if BTEA covers master's and if it doesn't can you still qualify for social welfare support whilst doing a post graduate degree?

    TIA
    P

I'm not sure on BTEA but the grant assistance for post graduate courses is €2000 contribution fee or if the applicant's reckonable income is under the special rate threshold they would receive the special rate contribution fee.

So unless the course fee is under the amount you may get from SUSI, you must pay the difference yourself.

Thanks - I was unsure of the BTEA but then realised it's the PTEO I will need - it's part time so it would not qualify for any grants - was searching around for any help towards costs but will have to get a loan out -
