Book in mine says 210k km, no time specified

Is yours 2011? For 2012 onwards they were changed to no time limit alright.

At that point of time the warranty has run out, no come back.

I would not stretch it beyond 8 years, water pumps in general tend to corrode a bit and seize.

Just after finding the service book there (thought it was lost!) and yes it does say 210,000 Kms or 140,000 Mls!?

Have 120,000 Mls on it at the moment...might leave it for a while yet so!

Don't listen to the book, I just asked Volkswagen on the online chat and they said 5 years or the km limit even though in my book there is no time limit. It makes sense though, you can't keep the car for 20 years and expect the timing belt to be alright.
