    Hi,

Your company damaged my internet pipe. I called and was told that this was tough luck. I should have noticed it earlier. It's only since i tried to switch internet provider this became an issue. Can you please review?

I look at it this way OP, what would happen if your internet provider removed your water meter because it got in the way of their pipe for installing internet?

Where one service provider is digging they have to take care of other already existing services so this is Irish Waters problem and they should fix it.

    Hi Mairead,

They did look into this and sent an eircom engineer who said I have to get onto you as you broke the pipe. It broke outside my house so i cannot repair and eircom cannot repair

    Hi,

I have looked into this matter with the relevant department and they have confirmed that we have not been working in this area since October 2014.

I advise you to contact Eircom again in order to resolve this matter and I hope this is rectified for you soon.

    Thanks,
    Mairead

    Hardly a satisfactory response

So they damaged it on October 2014 and said nothing doesn't matter when it was damaged if they damaged it.

Next step is to make a complaint using IW's complaints proceedure then if that fails you pass the complaint to Commision for Energy Regulation http://www.cer.ie/customer-care/water/complaints

Do they understand that you were (I assume) getting your internet through a completely different cable before (assume UPC/Virgin?) and it has only come to light now?
