Terry's production company Narrativia announced that the Pratchett/Gaiman novel will begin shooting in 2017, slated for broadcast on Amazon and BBC in 2018. 6-part series scripted by Neil Gaiman himself. Should be interesting, if it ever gets done!

It was much better than I thought it would be, though not as good as the book. Enjoy it though, the American show about the Watch has cast a 20 something year old slim black actress as Lady Sybil who they have also made a vigilante. Now, any fan of the books knows that Lady Sybil is a middle aged rather large white woman, think Dame Maggie Smith 30 years younger and at least 6 stone heavier. In fact one of the lines in one of the books is ''it has been said that to see her bosom rise and fall is to understand the raising of empires'' or something along those lines.

That sounds like about the worst piece of casting ever. I think one of the words to describe Lady Sybil would be solid. She's a reliable, middle aged member of the nobility who knows how to handle herself. Think of her response when the dwarfs attack the house. You also need someone of a certain gravitas to keep Vimes in line.

And if you thought that was bad, Lord Vetinari is being played by a woman. This woke stuff is getting very tiresome.

Jeremy Irons should have been a shoe in for Vetinari.
