Is there a new Coastguard helicopter up north?

Looking at the coverage recently of that surfer rescued by "Belfast Coastguard" included is footage from a helicopter.
Maybe my information is out of date or inaccurate but I thought there wasn't any Coastguard helicopter based in Northern Ireland and the rescues off the north are shared between the Irish Coastguard and the RAF in Scotland.
Could someone please shed some light on what helicopter rescued that surfer?

    This too shall pass.

It was the Coast Guard SAR helicopter and crew based in Prestwick Airport, Scotland that performed the rescue.

Yep, that was 'Rescue 999' based in Prestwick. UK SAR is now fully civilian with no RAF/RN Sea Kings anymore, it's contracted HM Coastguard S92s and AW139s.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.
