Does any insurance company insure trailers for livestock? Most I've tried won't insure the trailer on its own.

it's usually included on a farm or vehicle policy

I inquired last year at renewal through axa, cheaper than competitors at the time, they informed me, the trailer was covered 3rd party whilst attached to towing unit, but if I wanted fully comp as the jeep is insured, I'd have to take out a separate policy,

never thought to ask about stock in transit. I'll def be asking this year.

if I wanted it insured against theft etc have to insure it separate and the trailer would have to have a "chassis" number that I'd have to produce before they would insure it.

The insurance companys from what I can see over the last few years have cut back on "free throw ins" when it comes to insuring something, you have to be so specific as to what is, and is not insured.
