Caught what I think is the first episode of this last night. The premise is that it's a cross between a scripted series and reality show pairing up film and sporting icons on a road trip through Asia. The old timers are Bill Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman and a guy I didn't know who was a baseball or NFL player back in the day. There's also a young guy who's a comedian along to help them out.

Bill a Shatner was my draw into this. It's gotten great reviews on IMDb but, fir me, it's only ok. It's funny in spots but comes off as being contrived. In fact it's scripted. I'd have preferred if they'd made a limited run travel sitcom with the 5 guys. I don't buy for them ne minute that a guy with an ego like Shatner has spent 4 nights in a capsule hotel in Tokyo. I could see them doing a location shoot there for sure.

Maybe it's more for a US audience.
