I'm not surprised about the Italian way. In the heady days of car buying around the time of the millennium I bought a new Alfa Romeo 156, with my heart overruling my head. In the showroom the salesman said to me - before you buy this fantastic car, have a look at this...

In the showroom was another brand new 156, he pointed to the lovely leather seats in the back and then to the ones on the front. The seats in the back were brown leather, the front were black leather.

I was so happy my leather seats were all the same colour, I forgot to ask for a discount....
