Farm cats but they quiet .. Same old orange lad was there for 15 years and very few kittens , he died and old queen cat must have been carrying 3 kittens .. Dirty feral cat came in and killed the lovely kittens ... I came on him and ran him but he actually coming back to finish the job.

Not a big cat person but that's a horrible trait that they have

For everybody's sake would you consider getting these cats neutered. The toms can be done for a little as €20 if you keep an eye out for special offers, animal charities do deals with some practices for this very reason. They'll lend you a trap to catch them.

As above you need to get these cats neutered. I don't want to sound mean but in this day and age when there are so many stray and feral cats suffering, it's quite irresponsible to leave them intact. Particularly when you have witnessed first hand the stress put under these cats because of mating and fighting.

Yes. Very sad thing to happen, but its a common occurrence.

My understanding is that is doesn't happen with neutered tomcats as it's for territorial reasons they do it.

They do it to bring the female cat back in to season.
