So today unluckily I scratched my alloy wheels against the pedestrian path. The wheel was rubbed with the brick and left a 5 cm diameter scratch :(
Is it possible to buy some wheel buffing material online and do it myself?
I have attached a stock pic of the wheel.

    Many thanks

The picture is terrible but they look diamond cut, if so you will need to have them done professionally or they will look awful once the salt gets into the scratch. Check out the recent thread on here about the renault wheel, same situation.

Look up Alloygators if you're afraid of damaging your wheels.
