    Hi,

I just have some questions about this, I am currently in my 3rd year at a level 7 in CIT and thinking of switching to 1st year level 8 in UCC....questions are:

Do SUSI cover this type of situation?
Will I only get covered my student contribution fees and not the tuition fees?
Have I used up all my free tuition fees with my level 7?
has anyone ever been covered by SUSI for this type of situation?

    Thanks
    Regards
    Disco

You can apply but you may not get any assistance until you have reached the same point of your studies in the level 8.

You will get no grant assistance if you leave now.
Have I used up all my free tuition fees with my level 7?
No, but maybe at level 7 for now. You would have to wait 5 years without any education to be considered a second chance student at this level again.

Rarely would anyone going from year 3 of level 7 to year 1 level 8 get any grant assistance until they reach year 3 of the level 8.

The best option for you, if at all possible.
Finish the level 7 and get the qualification. You can then apply for grant assistance for year 1 of a new level 8. All other criteria would apply for the level 8 application.
