Applying for a CE Vacancy

I'm not eligible to start a CE scheme until May 8th, but my employment officer in my local Intreo service has advised me to start applying now.

Do I apply directly to the employers who have advertised on Jobsireland.ie or must I go through Intreo?

I've asked my EO but she's out of office at the moment. Thanks.

Not always true , I know several people including myself that got CE scheme placements and didn't have to go near intreo or social welfare office

As your Intreo contact has told you to apply now, then apply to the body advertising the CE Scheme. You do not apply directly to the place you will be working but rather to the supervisory sponsor which runs/administers the CE position you are interested in and whose contact details will be included in each advertised CE vacancy.
