I'm staying in a BnB in Kildare for EP 2017.

Any thoughts on transport to/from Kildare centre ?

Taxis, buses to EP in morning & back late at night ?

    Thoughts appreciated.

    Hi

I suspect get ripped off in a taxi unless there's a group of you.
A taxi from Electric Picnic into Portlaoise is around €15/20 so back to Kildare would be at least double that.

You can get Dublin coach back to Kildare from Portlaoise.

There is a shuttle bus from EP to Portlaoise run by Martleys it costs €5
    for a single journey.

It runs until 3am after that you'd be looking at a taxi into Portlaoise and then the bus.

Travelling to EP you can take the train and then Martleys have a shuttle bus going from the train station to EP.

They're able to drive a back road that I think is just for buses so it's usually quick enough to get from Portlaoise to Stradbally.

Thanks - any other thoughts which don't involve a detour through Portlaoise at 1 am ?
