Water additive for cats teeth

Can anyone recommend a water additive for helping to keep my cats teeth clean and breath fresh? Also any chews that will be good for that too?
Axel will let me brush his teeth but the new cat is having none of it.

There are some water additives out there that only freshen breath - not worth using IMO. Go for one that has chlorhexadine in it to combat gum disease. Virbac do one called AquaDent. They have it on a site I often order from in the UK:
