    Hi,

Just wondering if any previous students can give me advice about the types of jobs available from the different degree outlets; Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Neuroscience.

I'm Mostly interested in Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology so that is what I'm looking for information on. I have to decide in August, but I don't even know what types of jobs are available from doing these degrees. I'm not interested in going straight into studying for a masters.

Any information would be great, Thank you!

I'm presuming your a 2nd year going into 3rd year.

I rank it Biochem by a long shot followed by Microbiology.

For your electives choose Introduction to Pharmacology and Introduction to Toxicology. Avoid PT3005, it's marked very hard.

If you want to learn about the type of jobs then simple search the following

"BSc Biochemistry (or whatever degree relevant) UCC site:linkedin.com"

Create a fake linkedin to allow yourself view unlimited linkedin profiles.

Forget about Physiology if you don't want to do a MSc.
As long as you can maintain a 2.1 or above you can apply for Graduate Programmes in Biopharma and Pharma companies after you finish 4th year.

Tbh I say this with regret, I wish I had gone to CIT instead of UCC. Far more jobs focused.

Hey. I'm going to be doing Microbiology in September this year. Would you suggest that, or forensic toxicology?
