Interior design books or resources?

I work for an engineering firm, who on occasion do architectural services on jobs. As such I need to specify finishes from time to time for bathrooms, locker rooms, canteens etc etc.

I manage to pull together a spec that will work.. but may not exactly be inspired or a good interior design. Can anybody recommend a good book/resource to better specify finishes (floor types, ceiling types, paint types, tiles etc etc)?

I would suggest that one thing to do is that you get to know the people in somewhere like Tilestyle's contracts department. These types of places see a lot of what goes on and can tell you what you will get for the various price points. It is basically their job to get you the information you need to do your job.
