Aer Lingus Check-In (Dublin-Vegas via Gatwick)

    Hi all,

    Flying to Dublin-Vegas via Gatwick this week. To London with Aer Lingus, then onward via Virgin Atlantic.

    Online US Visitor Visa application done and approved.

    Flight from Dublin is at 7.25am & I don't want to be stupidly early. I'm wondering what time I should be at the airport? Are there likely to be any customs/immigration delays in Dublin or is that done elsewhere? (I've no boarding pass yet and 1 bag to check in). I'm assuming Aer Lingus will check my bag onto the Virgin flight to Vegas for me?

    Bags go to Vegas, customs and immigration in Vegas

    Aer Lingus will issue both boarding cards in Dublin

    Be at the airport 2 hours before departure

    When you're checking in your bags at the Aer Lingus desk in Dublin, the clerk will ask to see your passport (because your ultimate destination is beyond the UK) but that's the height of it, it will be the same as if you were flying to Paris. As the previous poster said, you will do the real formalities in Vegas so you won't do the US pre-clearance in Dublin.
