PS4 controller won't stop vibrating

My PS4 controller started vibrating uncontrollably this morning. The PS4 itself wasn't even on. I tried switching the ps4 on and connecting the controller but it won't connect to the ps4 at all. I've tried resetting the controller to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem?

Reset button ? It's on the back, beside the screw next to L2. just poke it with a pen or small screwdriver for a few seconds.

Oh wait I missed that you tried resetting it :(

Did you connect it with the charging cable and re-sync it?

I'm sorry but that sounds hilarious :pac:

By any chance did you buy that off eBay? Is it a non-sony controller? I see other people had similar issues with knock off controllers and had to wait for the battery to die and return the controller as faulty.

The Gardai Bomb Disposal Unit would likely be called in to the OP's local An Post. :pac:
