Salary negotiation query

Hey, just looking for some advice.

I got offered a job which I would love, it's a great company, with some nice benefits and very interesting projects.

The only problem is the salary is less than I was hoping for (they asked me what I expected during the interview process). I want the job, even at the current salary, but my gut is not happy about the salary.

I'm thinking of asking them if the salary is negotiable, but my fear is they will rescind the offer. Is it risky asking to negotiate or is a standard thing to do?

    Thanks.

Tell them your really interested but the salary is below what you were expecting! If they want you they will come back with a different offer, worst case scenario they say that the initial offer is the final offer. It's fairly standard thing to do.

That sounds like the best course of action. Thanks, appreciate your advice!

You could also ask for a salary review in six months

So it turns out there was a clerical mistake and they had my wrong expectations, so it's been sorted now. Thanks all.
