There's plenty of not from concentrate juices in the main supermarkets, even the expensive ones but when you squeeze fresh oranges into a glass it's a completely different drink than anything the supermarkets sell. I remember a long time ago Superquinn had an orange juice like this, it was expensive but worth every penny. Does anyone know where to find what I am looking for? :) Thanks

Squeeze your own? I stocked up when ALDI had them 7 in a pack for 39 cents.I roll them round on the work surface until they are soft, cut in half then gouge the juice and some of the flesh out with a small veg knife.

Nothing will ever taste like this, although I did get a bottle in LIDL ( reduced of course!) that came near. Not sure of the name, but in the chilled cabinet. They do a great apple juice there too... vitafit, cloudy apple juice. 100 % pressed juice. All in the chilled cabinet, not with the cartons.

Remembering a US friend who used to refer to this as "chew or choke " juice!

I agree with Graces7, I have tried many different not from concentrate OJ but never just as good as home squeezed. I just assumed it was down to pasteurisation that is probably a requirement for food safety or something and changes taste no matter how fresh, not from concentrate, organic, sweet, bitter, ripeness etc.

If you dont already this type of hand squeezer is cheap, quite quick, and gets every last drop from the fruit and no mess. I do batches in one go while there is a game on the TV or the like and just bottle it for convenience for during a morning rush round the house. Large oranges or grapefruit can get messy but the net of oranges from Lidl/Aldi are spot on an cheap. Im probably stating the obvious in this post :o

Loads of shops are doing freshly squeezed orange juice these days, there's a centra close to me that is selling it, and I know Mayfield filling station (outside Monastarevin) are two places that spring to mind instantly.
