Change Composite Door Skin

I have a composite front door which is essentially white but with a coloured front.

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the colour (front skin), but when I ask, I'm told that's not possible.

Given that these doors are "assembled", is it not possible to reverse the process and replace the outer "skin".

I can understand why door companies would not want to promote this, but I'm just wondering if it is possible.

The skin is a laminate that is stuck on. I'm sure it is possible but this would normally be done in a factory when the door is not fully manufactured. It's likely possible but not feasible and wouldn't look as good.
