Dry Cleaning Black Jeans to avoid fading

    Hi,

I've bought a pair of black denim jeans which I need to wash. Problem is, no matter how low a wash or what detergent I use they always fade.

Is dry cleaning a way of avoiding this?

    Thanks

Instead of trying to avoid them fading would you try re-dying them instead? I haven't tried it but a few of my friends have using the Dylon dye you put in the washing machine and it works great apparently.

I'd recommend the Dylon washing machine treatment. It's around €10 in Hickeys. One pack does one pair of jeans to a very dark black with no negative impact on the garment or the washing machine.

I've a 20min cycle on the washing machine and I use it for black jeans with no detergent and a tiny drop of conditioner. My friend uses the dye and it seems to work well.
