    Hello all.
Quick question . I've read mf 600 series have very good hydraulic pressure compared to even newer 3000 series. Would this be right and what are the benefits?
Also have a 100 series mf needing work done. Sort of on the market for tractor. Looking something to tow cattle trailer /bale trailer and fertiliser. Also maybe slurry for few acres. Said 100 series not really up to lifting big bales now a days and comfort is poor. Any experience of either 675 or 3080? Thanks

My late Uncle had a 3080 (32 gear) Autotronic and nearly every sensor gave trouble on it. Unless the tractor is garaged then my advice would be to stay very far away. Otherwise it was a great tractor to draw trailers and run the rotavator and had no problem lifting heavy bales of silage once the hydraulic sensors/electronics complied with you.

Spend a few euro more and try and get a 3085, much improved on the 3080, perkins 1006.6 compared to the 6534. Definately try and get a 32 speed dynashift.

Have a 3090 and a 3065 here from new. If your going for a 3000 series , get the 16 gear gearbox. 32 gear model are troublesome and just harder to drive

Find the dynashift a dream to drive, have a 3085 here and a 3645..

32 speed box is nice to drive but I would also go for the 16 speed in a second hand tractor as they give a lot less trouble.

Personally I would avoid the 3000 series altogether. They were a nice tractor new but are prone to a lot of issues and many have had their wiring guntered by people who should not have been let near them.

The 600 series may well have better hydraulic pressure as many came with a secondary hydraulic pump for auxiliary hydraulics which can be linked to main pump by moving a lever. They are a very different beast to the 3000 series as everything is manual, but in a tractor of that age it might not be a bad thing as the are simpler machines. Your biggest issue with the 600 series is going to be finding one without a rotten cab.

Also what size tractor do you need? Big difference in HP between a 675 and a 3080/3085.

    675 is a 4 cylinder 62HP
    3080 is a 6 cylinder 98HP

The rotten cab issue is becoming easier to remedy with the repair panel for i think around 450 . https://www.donedeal.ie/tractors-for-sale/mf-699-front-frame/14615334

Yes. 450 for that..... 500 for a roof from John Conaty... another 1000 for a pair of doors and about 600 for some wing tops and you'd be sorted :D for many it would be cheaper to buy a complete new cab from the lad in Rosscommon on Donedeal.

Can anyone help or advise please .
Looking for Lower Lift Arms for massey 188. Probably Cat 2.
( Think the 390 series are same size .
Ball sockets are badly worn. Need reconditioned Arms , Secondhand or Low Cost Spurious Parts.Have noticed one can buy Weld On Ends with Sockets . Has anyone used these & are they successful ?
Can anyone refer me to someone ?
    Thanks.
    Track 9 .

    Track 9 .

Have used weld on ends, they are fine as long as the person welding knows what they are doing. The arms can be got Agriline, QTP or John Conaty. Conaty may have secondhand ones also.

See if you can shift the inside pins first without busting the casting. This might decide which repair options you have.

those 600 series cabs look nice, and will probably extend the life of many tractors
