    Hi,

Has anyone built a wall from glass bottles? I saw a few online that looked nice, thinking of doing one for a bbq windbreak.
The internet said that mortar will do the trick on it.

I've seen some online and seen some in real life and the ones online always look far more appealing.

In real life the bottles get dirty, cracked or totally smashed.

Once broken bottle in the wall ruins everything and you cant exactly repair or replace the bottle.

You also need to be very symmetrical when laying the bottles which i think is easier to say then to do.

In my opinion just build a nice red brick wall or put up some nice looking garden fence panels.

Yes, people have built walls using glass bottles as a building material. This technique is called "bottle wall construction." The use of recycled bottles in construction is a sustainable practice that can reduce waste and provide an interesting aesthetic effect.

To build a bottle wall, the bottles are first cleaned and arranged in a pattern. Mortar is then used to bond the bottles together and form a solid wall. However, it's essential to note that the strength of the wall will depend on the quality of the mortar used and the structure's overall design.

When building a bottle wall, it's essential to follow proper building codes and regulations. It's also crucial to ensure that the fin wall is stable and able to withstand the wind and other external forces. It may be a good idea to consult with a professional builder or engineer before undertaking such a project.

Overall, building a bottle wall can be a fun and creative project, but it's crucial to ensure that it's done safely and with proper planning.

Ah it's a comment with a lot of words saying absolutely nothing other than...make sure you build it well and use good mortar.

    I'm with 10-10-20 on this!

It's definitely a AI, or someone copy pasting an AI response - people post to forums to talk to people with direct experience of the idea.

Yep, and it recently learned how to include images into posts too...

Next it will be over on PI asking itself how to handle situations where humans don't take it seriously.
