Very short period of unemployment, will i get paid anything?

    You'll get it backdated to the date you applied, but only if you complete the process

    You normally don't get paid the first I think 7 days of job-seekers benefit as part of the initial exclusion period. I'm not too sure what the craic is with that. It might not apply to you as you appear to be going for job seekers allowance.

    You should apply for Jobseeker's Allowance the first day you become unemployed. It is important to apply on the first day you become unemployed because you will not get paid for the first 3 days of your claim. http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_allowance.html This also applies to Jobseekers Benefit applications.
