Corporate Law or Commerce????

    Hi,
I'm in LC at the moment. I always wanted to pursuit something along the lines of business. Since my experience in a Mock Trial Competition in the CCJ I have been going down the route of law.
I have been set on Corporate Law NUIG as I will be able to have some (?) left open.
However recently, from talking to people I am beginning to have doubts if Law is a safe option to be going down, I also have no contacts in Law.

A lot of people are suggesting to do business (which is my strongest area) - but every Tom dick and harry is doing commerce too.

Would love some thoughts or anyone who has done Law their feedback.
    Thanks

do commerce.. better postgraduate opportunities. Corporate law doesnt even qualify you as a solicitor you still need to do more studies. Commerce all the way

Yeah I'm kinda thinking Commerce might be a safer option-but it's very general. I don't know what to doooooo! 10 days left!

Well corporate law is 4 years and you are still going to have to do a postgrad course in either law or something business related which can take 1-3 years depending. Commerce is only 3 years and better graduate opportunities, you can still do the same amount of grad courses and have an extra year to play with. I know a guy who done the corp law and he ended up working as a welcome advisor for a bank because he was under qualified for anything bigger. what do you think you would like to do after the course? Law or something business related?

Probably something businessey- I have a real interest in law, but I've loved Business since day 1 - even though every tom dick and Harry seems to be able to get a business degree nowadays
