Waiting for appointment for biopsy

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long roughly it takes to get an appointment for a biopsy after being referred by gp? I have a suspicious mole and my gp has referred me about 5 weeks ago. Thanks

It varies because different hospitals and different consultants have different waiting lists. It also depends on the nature of the biopsy, e.g. location, urgency.

You could call the consultant's secretary and ask, they should be able to give you a general idea.
