Baking advice: freezing pies

    I'm making some small pies tonight, a la these cooking club ones.

    I have a kg of meat so expect there will be far too many to eat, so I'd like to freeze some.

    My question is: at what stage should I freeze my spare pies - pre-bake or post bake?

    I usually freeze pies after I bake them in case the pastry goes soggy (though maybe it wouldn't, I've never tried the other way). I slightly underbake them so the pastry won't go too dark when I reheat them.

    I'd freeze uncooked, but then I like soggy pastry :)

    More to the point, I think cooking pastry twice makes it dry and horribule. Could though microwave the pie (and get properly soggy pastry :) )?

    Looking at, say, Lidl's pies, their frozen pies are uncooked, whereas their chilled pies are cooked.

    In the end I baked them, but left them slightly​ underdone as advised.

    Rather beautiful they are too, but sadly the camera on my phone has packed up!

    I appreciate the tips. :)

    Do the frozen ones explicitly say they contain raw meat? since saying you must ensure they are fully cooked through or similar may not necessarily mean that they have raw meat in them.

    I have heard people say they thought breaded frozen chicken products were cooked and they are not, I have defrosted some and saw they were raw, but would have though pies were.

    My guess is that the fillings are cooked before making the pie, as in the recipe that started this thread. I was thinking that it's the pastry that is left as an exercise for the cook with frozen pies.
