    Hi,
I'm looking at creating a 24page children's magazine, A4 size, only in the planning stages at the moment, but I'd appreciate an idea of how much it would cost roughly to create. If I handed over the content in PowerPoint form to a designer, needing the magazine then to be made a lot more professional, bright colors etc for children, mazes, puzzles, wordsearches, cool effects that are beyond PowerPoint, pullout poster, things like that... could anyone give me a very rough idea of how much it would cost if I went to a freelance designer? Thanks in advance.

Please don't ever supply artwork with powerpoint, I get this all day in work and its a nightmare, instead export/save as as pdf.

As for cost, well that's difficult trying to pin down the amount of time involved and later with amends, but based on your post (if I was freelancing still) I would charge 350 - 400.

Yeah I reckon Ross is on the ball. I work freelance as a designer now and I just sent a 36 page brochure for print and charged €700 for it including revisions. If you know what you want and have a plan I reckon you could do it for 400.

Also I second the PowerPoint thing, but it's better than word. Or rambling emails with screenshots attached! :P
