Single farm payment greening 2017 and entitlements?

    Hi,

I am thinking of entering the Single farm payment greening 2017 scheme. I plan to hold no stock this year and just get the grass cut regularly to keep the farm in "good agriculture repair". Will I lose my entitlements by not having stock when I am in this scheme? Or are they still kept active when you are in this scheme (even though you have no stock)? I might get stock again in a few years, so I do not want to lose my entitlements.

I read the guidance booklet for this scheme but am none the wiser :)

    GB.

There is a minimum stocking rate to claim disadvantage area payments or anc I think it's called now. I don't think you need stock to claim sfp if you are not claiming disadvantage area payment.

Around that, they increased it from .12 a few years ago. As far as o know donkeys and horses could also be counted as livestock units without the need for a herd number.
