Author of Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

A philosophical/semi-autobiographical work on the nature of quality and the connection between different ways of experiencing the world. Some people hate the book. Others say it's life changing.

This is doubly weird for me as I'm reading this book at the moment and it's really hitting home for me.

    Anyway RIP

Oh dear God no, not the instantly recognisable household name of Robert M. Pirsig!

The RIP threads are getting a bit tedious.

I read it and didn't really 'get' it at all.

I'm often a bit critical of the "you just don't get it" argument as it could be used for anything, even when I'm fairly certain this is nothing to get.

But in this case, I'd say it applies.

Anyway RIP. It was a book that had a huge impact on loads of people.

He saw a child of his die before he did, and I can't imagine many things worse in life than that.
