Closing jobseekers allowance claim

I have been looking for work for the last year, I have been claiming jobseekers allowance and have been getting 55 a week as it is means tested against my partners income. I have two children and am now pregnant with a surprise baby.
I realise now that finding any work while im pregnant or while I have a small baby is unrealistic. I am considering closing my claim and hoping that by transferring tax credits and claiming the home carers credit we will be ok financially. I can then start actively looking for work again at a later stage.
My question is, how do I approach this with the social welfare office?
Is it enough to just explain that I am having no luck looking for work and now im pregnant its going to be much harder so Id like to close my claim until im in a better position?

You don't need to explain anything at all.
Just pop in and tell them you want to close your claim.
    No explanation is required.
Did you think about applying for FIS at all?

    Important to explore the options:

If you are pregnant you may continue to get a jobseeker's payment - either Jobseeker?s Benefit (JB) or Jobseeker's Allowance. You are considered capable of work unless, you have complications during your pregnancy or you are ill. You must be available for and genuinely seeking work to get a jobseeker's payment. This means that you must continue to look for work throughout your pregnancy.

However, 4 weeks before your baby is due to be born and for 8 weeks after the birth, you do not have to sign-on at your local social welfare office and you do not have to prove that you are seeking work. You must inform your Intreo centre or local social welfare office of your pregnancy...
