Hi I'm travelling to koh samui, koh phangan etc this summer. I won't really be travelling too far from the touristy areas. Have people got vaccinations for this type of holiday. hep a and typhoid are recommended but from your experience do u think it's completely necessary? Any and all info/advice regarding any part of travelling in this area will be highly appreciated
    Thanks ðŸ™႒

Is the thread title a bit misleading?

It's about health or shots not traveling, no?

Maybe have a look here OP

Get the vaccinations, not the disease (This from someone who has a terrible phobia of needles). Regardless how low your risk to exposure is it's still a risk you can completely eliminate. You could get infected with hepatitis A in Ireland, let alone Thailand. As with all things medical speak to your doctor and follow their recommendations.

As for Thailand itself I have no advice, travelling there for the first time in June and really looking forward to it. Heading to Koh Tao and Koh Samui for a couple of days, nowhere near enough time but should hopefully be a fun trip.
