What makes the best mule ewe

    Is their much of a difference between the mule bred from blue ram and mayo ewe compared to the blue ram and swealdale ewe. Is their much of a differenc , is one better than other. Thank you

    Not a big difference between them, the mule bred from the swaledale is the north of england mule they would be the most prolific mule, we have both mayo mules and scotch mules which were bred off lanark ewes, we find theyre the best type, they are a blockier sheep and are easier to keep condition them

    There's some shocking mules bred off mayo horn ewes with front legs stuck together

    Not all but a lot of them, I prefer ones from swaledales but are harder to come by

    The swaledale ones are better imo too. We give the ram to strong lambs without any fault or trouble. Great great sheep and I nearly lost all hope for sheep a few years ago through bad experiences due to bad sheep.
    Is the mayo horny not a scotch ewe? Marketing gimmick? I guess the lads in Connemara have the Galway horny
