seagate back up drives

    anybody use these back up drives

    have an extension drive it works ok , but got a backup ultra slim . very slow to format , wont show up on sat boxs

    The power from the USB port on the sat box might not be strong enough to power it. How did you format the drive?

    ntfs . there is no power option it works on laptop ,



    it worked once tried to format to ext3 on box but after an hour took it out and plugged into laptop to fix errors and it was ext 2 ,


    so formatted on laptop again fast was ok full one was going nowhere so stopped it

    put it back on box and box wouldnt boot with it in lol
