I was talking to some one who is developing software for a Dairy whereby they are going to make payments to milk suppliers daily rather than monthly. Would this be much of an advantage to suppliers?

why would the milk producer go for that idea? they have the monopoly.
up to 45/50 days credit from the farmer. they aren't going to reduce that to even 5.

Tbh, I can't see it catching on but it would be huge to get even a portion of it every 3 days.

You would still have to wait for the solids% to be returned before a price is set and even then the soilds% aren't done every collection.

Even after the solids% are given, a fair proportion of the milk price depends on the quality, Total Bacteria Count below 25 and Thermoduric below 1000 which are only tested for twice a month so are last months figures used and an adjustment made when the second test result is in?

Afaik, very few farmers are collected/deliver every day but as you can see, it is a lot more complicated than X liters multiplied by a price.
