    Ok, this might be a weird one.

    Last week I (a lady, FYI) had a bladeless hot towel shave in a gender neutral babers in London. I heard about it a few years ago and finally went, and OMG my skin felt amazing. The hot towel bit was so good for my skin, but now I'm wondering how I can recreate it at home.

    I'm clueless about the beardy side of things, so is it possible to just get a bladeless straight razor? I didn't get a look at what the barber used but it looked like a standard straight razor that my own barber here uses on the back of my neck (with a disposable blade) after my cut, but obviously it had no blade.

    This one here seems to have the option of inserting blades, is that what I want?

    :confused::confused::confused:

    That razor you've linked is one I use and is very, this razor gives you 3 blade types, but I'm wondering could this have been the item he used https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/251288. The hot towel stuff is straight forward enough, you need whatever soap and brush and apply to the face. Get the towel and apply to the face for 60 seconds obviously hot towel. Wipe face clean of foam.

    Reapply soap and shave. Many videos online will give better detail and not sure on the bladeless one though.

    This site is great and has many good reviews here. http://www.shaving.ie/

    hey, thanks for the info. I think the barber just used a straight razor with no blade in it, just he holder- obviously I don't actually want to cut the hairs on my face so anything with a cutting ability I don't want to use, because I don't actually have a beard (just the few lovely bits mother nature has blessed me with as I ht my 30's- the joy!)

    What you are likely looking for is called a shavette. Don't go spend 100 quid on one when you can get them for a tenner on ebay.

    Cheers, I actually spoke to the barber last night and she confirmed it was a straight razor that takes blades, so that's a shavette, right? Perfect. :)
