Thanks to Mr Paddy Power I'm in the market for a new car this week. I only need a small one (1l) and have narrowed it down a bit to a fiesta or a yaris (yaris is the only car I've ever owned). Does anyone have any thoughts?

Ford seem to be running a good promotion at the moment ..

I got to drive the latest Yaris for a day last year to be honest i was far from impressed.

I was putting my Fiat 500 in for a service and was given a 161 yaris for the day.

    Main issues with it
Interior Plastics, seat finishes etc are very poor in my opinion.
Steering wheel is tiny - unusally small.
Drivers position is not comfortable - seat not comfortable for a 6ft male.
Felt like it had no power.

Now consider this is criticism coming from someone who happily owns and drives a fiat 500 . The fiat 500 is a small car also - but it never feels like a small car when you are inside it and driving, i have the lounge version and interiors and plastics are all quite good.

Fiesta would be the far better option of the two in my opinion. I have test driven a few and found them to be superior to the current Yaris.

If your buying brand new then take into account that both the Fiesta and Yaris are being replaced with new models very soon.

There's a New fiesta coming so there a good deals on the last of this model.

If your not worried about spec, you could get a new fiesta for under 15k.

I was in lyons in Limerick on Saturday with my wife's Ibiza , was looking at going for an ST.
They have a new blue ST2 in there for 25k has a lot of extras and an st200.
I asked about just getting an st1 don't need any options he said they were hard to get , so I said find the cheapest fiesta st you can get and let me know.
I presume a lot of them have extras which bring the price up and I don't know how ford work if you can order one or not?
