Drop down to Des Kennedy, he is located on the road at the back of the old Market's field in Garryowen.

If it doesnt open from the outside it hardly because of a child lock? ... Child locks are supposed to prevent the door only from opening from the inside not also from the outside.

Sounds like it could be a door lock actuator.

Does the door make an audible lock/unlock noise hwne you use the remote fob ?

Bad. Hardly a child-lock if the door does not open from the outside. Probably a faulty CL motor. Happened to my A6 but was a intermittent fault which allowed me to open the door. Easy to change once door is opened. Could be a PITA in your case as the door card may have to be forcibly removed to access the locking mechanism.
