Hi im looking for advice please i my child wore functional  twin block appliance brace and has been sucessfull, im now being told that they need to follow up the treatment with train track braces...My question is if the twin block worked and my childs teeth are straight are the braces nesscesary or is it just purely cosmetic at this stage???
Im thinking the train track braces are just an add on now and at the same time dont want the overbite to come back on the kid in later life

Most twinblock cases are then followed by traintracks.
You should definitely touch base with the orthodontist, explain that you're happy with the treatment thus far, but just a bit confused as to how having traintracks will further benefit your child, seeing as cosmetically the teeth look good. Open the lines of communication, ask questions- that's what you're paying them for!
If their answers are unclear or unsatisfactory, then seek a 2nd opinion (consultation with another practitioner)
