Name on driver's licence

So my fiancé and I are getting married in August but her drivers license expires in June requiring her to renew it (duh). The only problem is that she wishes for her new married name to be on it if at all possible. Now we know that we can just pay the fee again to have it re-issued with the new name or wait a few years until it has to be renewed again to change the name.

Just curious if it's possible to delay the renewal so to get the new name on it or any other way around paying twice or waiting the few years.

Posting this on her behalf as I haven't got a clue and the NDLS website wasn't specific enough to avoid fuss later on.

My apologies if this thread is in error in any way.
