Hi Guys, think i've asked this before, but im looking at buying an SUV (probably BMW X1 or X3 or maybe range rover evoque , im thinking a few years old (3 or 4 ) and under 100K miles and don't have the money in the company to by something new, nor do i want to.

problem with trying to find one that was already converted when new is normally the mileage is huge. so im thinking secondhand 5 seater and get it converted. so do i go to UK or buy an already irish passenger one and convert it?
don't want to spend big money (seen them for 40-45K new on carzone) probably 15-20K max including converted the lot.

Anyone recommend a place to get this work done? (south of possible, but would travel if not) and how long do i have to get it done if its on UK plates.

then there's the whole BIK thing? i will be using the van after work hours and on some weekends , plus i take the van home every night, so im stuck with the 5% BIK.

is this still the same figure for a converted vehicle? even though it started life as a passenger vehicle?
I read somewhere on revenue.ie. that onces its a car , its already going to be a car for BIK proposes. surely this can be arrgued with revenue when they see the seats gone and the paperwork to back it up?
