Car repair

    Hi

Trying to source the repair job for a car, it had bumper and wing damaged. Went to a repair crash place to get the quote. Wanted to put new bumper on 2009 hyundai i30 and he quoted me 350 just for new bumper + respray. Got online and first shop micksgarage showing €130 for primed bumper. Is that part really different from the one garage is quoting me? Are there different bumpers available on the market? €220 difference is quite jaw dropping to be honest..
    Any advice please, thank you.

You still have to get it fitted and painted. I don't think €220 is overpriced for that.

That and the body shop probably isn't buying from micks garage.

Mother paid 300 for a new punto front bumper sprayed and matched to existing colour, it included touching up some stone chips on the bonnet so your not too far off.

€350 for a bumper including paint is a bargain.

Oh yeah I would be quite happy with 350 including painting, but he said 350 bumper only! So there shouldn't be really any difference between new primed bumpers? Micks one is very well priced and seems like the garage guy trying to make a killing?

Get a price from somewhere else for comparison.

The one on micksgarage won't be a Hyundai OE bumper anyway. It mightn't be a great fit.
That's not to say the garage mightn't be using a copy part either.

If you supply a part and it doesn't fit 100%, it's not the bodyshops problem.

Thank you for all the replies. Micks came back and said it's OEM replacement not Original part. HYUNDAI came back with quote and the bumper is €120 more than micks.

Would anyone know who is the manufacturer of OEM parts for HYUNDAI?

    Thanks

Update: Hyundai people say it's HYUNDAI who is manufacturing Original parts so I think to be safe I go with them then
