Hi all I'm fairly new to this forum just looking for a bit of information regarding my car I don't know much about cars so I'll try to give you the best of my knowledge of what is going on with my car. At the moment if I put my car in to first gear and try to take off it loses power it's feels like I'm trying to take off in third gear gear it just dies but if I put it into reverse it will reverse no problem have been told it could be fuel pump and also told it could be springs in gearbox could anybody shed some light on this for me
    Thanks in advance

    Possibly the gearbox linkage cables?

Easily checked if you can manually select the gear at the gearbox. A mechanic will diagnose that in a few minutes
