Scrappage deals at the moment

I'm looking at getting a scrappage deal on a new car.

Currently from what I see, Peugeot are the only ones offering this.

I have the girlfriend's old car (it's under nct until the end of May) which Peugeot said they would take.

My own car is a Citroen C5 that I've had nothing but problems with and they will also let me trade that in.

So that's 3500 for a scrappage and then what ever they'll offer me on my own car.

Does anyone know when other car brands usually bring out scrappage deals? Or is it just when ever they decide?

    Cheers

You will see more of them come back in the lead up to the 172 registration change on the 1st July. I'd say you will see them in about another month. The likes of Hyundai and Nissan will definitely offer them as they are all after market share and bragging rights now in the first quarter of each registration change. Keep an eye out for the adverts in the papers and on the tv and radio, etc.

    Cool, cheers for your reply.

I'm not sure if I want a new car but with scrapping an old car and getting a trade in on my car, it's hard to resist

Just do some man maths first. While you're getting more for your old car through a scrappage scheme your actually spending more too to get into a brand new car.

I'd probably find it quite hard to sell my own car which is why this would be a good option
