Its a very good car. It has as much room as some cars from the next class up too. You could also look at the just released Kia Rio which is also based on the same platform as the i20. The new Citroen C3 and Nissan Micra are also worth looking at.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Thanks for your reply. I am still in two minds about it and the Peugeut 308...

The 308 is a size above the i20.

    I20 vs 208
    I30 vs 308

The 208 is a nice car, but the basic models are a bit too basic in my opinion. To be fair, I'd probably be looking out for the Deluxe model if I was looking for an i20 as it has a lot of nice extras over the Classic trim, so maybe that's not a fair point.
The standard engine in the i20 is a four cylinder 1.25 compared to a 3 cylinder 1.0 in the 208 so it probably has the edge there. There are also a lot more Huundai dealers out there so servicing and shopping around would probably be easier if you went i20
On the other hand there were a lot of cheap nearly new /preregistration 208s out there a few months ago, so they might work out a lot cheaper.

Neither are a bad car, so you won't go too far wrong either way.

    i20 isn't a bad yoke.

But the 208 GTI is a better yoke. See if there's a decent 208 GTI around :) Lots of smiles and not too many gallons
