Hi all,

I've a soft close larder unit like this which has stopped soft closing and now closes with a loud thud partly because we're so used to it soft closing that we don't take care to close it gently and partly because there's quite a heavy load on the shelves (sauces, condiments, herbs and spices etc) which I'd appreciate a steer on how to fix. I'm assuming some sort of closing mechanism has worn out or failed. Is this an easy fix or a consumable type part which I could replace myself or will this require a new drawer insert altogether?

It may be as simple as a loose screw or two. Unload it and see if there are any rattles.
