    Posts deleted.

Posters please only reply if you have constructive feedback for the OP. The OP has served their driving ban so we can spare them any digs relating to why they got it.

OP, please do not have a go at posters trying to help if their advice isn't what you want to hear or this thread will be closed.

No you don't have a leg to stand on. Re sit the test.
You'll have an uphill battle with insurance. I think the law says that you have to declare the ban for 7 years before it's wiped clean.
As for why the 4 year ban, I don't think it makes any difference. We all do stupid things from time to time. So long as we learn from these mistakes that is the important thing.

Since a driving licence is for 10 years, I presume a full licence is what your talking about. Once you ban is up, you licence should b valid again. Check with the solicitor who looked after your case and see.

But he didn't actually have his full license at the time the ban was handed down, he had the certificate of competency for successfully passing his test and the ban went through before he could buy his full license. It was incredibly bad luck the way it happened but I think he will have to re sit the driving test as the certificate of competency expires after 6 months.

My ban was up by 2015 at least I was put off for four years but I know it lasts up to 8 for the ban to actually lift of the licence, but the fact I didn't actually get the licence from the tax office with the pass certificate then this is what I think my problem is,or do u think it shouldnt matter bcos I already passed before the conviction was ruled?thanks in advance for your advice man, much appreciated
