    Hi all!
We are looking for some advice of where to stay in Lanzarote in September? It will be our first holiday bringing our 3 year old girl who turns 4 while we on holidays. Any advice on hotel/apartment or location would be greatly appreciated!

There's not one in Lanzarote but the holiday villages are great for kids, you get a bit of a break with the cr?che and kids entertainment, you can't leave the premises when the kids are being looked after but a least you can go for a meal and a few drinks in the hotel, there all inclusive so you won't really spend any money after holiday is paid for, we were in the Ibiza one last September with a 1&2 yr old would have went back this year only booked out at the time we could go. If your not set on lanzarote there worth a look. http://www.falconholidays.ie/f/products/holiday-village

We went to el dorado apartments twice with kids. First time with 18month old and next time with a 2.5 yo and a 5yo. It is in the centre of Puerto del Carmen i.e between old town and new town. It is opposite the shopping centre, 10mins walk away from Aldi and less than 5 mins from the beach. The apartments are gated and we found them clean and functional.

There are two pool areas one which is non heated and is away from the bar and the other which has two 'heated' pools (important for winter sun hols) one which is a kiddie pool.

We found the staff excellent. Both times we went in January and there were no kids clubs etc - I'm not sure if they offer these at peak times. WiFi is available but not enough for streaming etc so ensure that any favourite movies/shoes are downloaded prior to travel.

Restaurants in the area were good and the bus to the waterpark/zoo is available just outside the apartments. Old Town has the harbour and boat excursions are available. The reception will have details of other tours and excursions available if you are interested.

The Fariones apartments are just down the street a couple of hundred meters and I have heard them highly recommended from friends too.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your holidays..

Can't speak for all of them but the Ibiza one is great, there's a water park in the hotel and a lovely little beach safe for kids with a bar/restraunt on the beach with a fire show every night. We didn't leave the beach/hotel all week only bit of Ibiza we saw was on the bus too and from the airport. Everything you need is there including the beach water was nice and warm in September.

Taking a chance on this place this year as the holiday village was booked out https://www.tripadvisor.ie/Hotel_Review-g642208-d296890-Reviews-Invisa_Hotel_Club_Cala_Blanca-Santa_Eulalia_del_Rio_Ibiza_Balearic_Islands.html

+1 The Fariones apartments and the chalets (they call them 'bungalows') by the side of the hotel are very good and you have full access to the private pools and beach behind the hotel. Bungalows are plain but clean, we had an end bungalow with quiet neighbours so it was grand. The apartments are a bit more modern.

You can only stay in the main hotel on full board so it attracts an older guest, either book a bungalow or an apartment if staying in Fariones.

We will check that out! Do they have any kids activities through out the day?

I don't think so, Fariones appears to be be a place where you do your own thing.

Hi Henry2014, I'm forever recommending the Costa Sal to posters here. We'll be going for the 4th time in five years this June/July. It's perfect for young families.

There's a kids club during school holidays, but I'd imagine it'll be done and dusted in September - there wasn't one when we went in Sept 15. That said, there's loads to do anyway and there are always plenty of other kids about the place and they are usually happy spending as much time as possible in the pools! There's entertainment every evening in the bar/restaurant and some afternoons there are things on for anyone to take part in.

The hotel is a little outside the main resort of PdC so it's a lot quieter and chilled out, but you still have a great selection of bars and restaurants in the vicinity and the main resort is just €5 in a taxi. It's also just a short walk to the end of the runway where you can watch planes land directly over your head! Worth a look on YouTube.

We were in Lanzarote last Dec with 2.5 yo and 6 mth old. Had a great time. Both loved the beach and swimming pool along with zoo and waterpark which were close by. We also found a number of playgrounds. Renting a car opened up the whole island and little boy loved the Volcano and camels up in Timafaya.
I would never go all inclusive on these trips as you miss out on all of the fantastic restaurants that are around the place. We are going back again in December :)

We've been to Playa Blanca numerous times with the kids between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old. We find it perfect for that age. Loads of restaurants that are family friendly and a lovely long prom that stretches off both sides of the town. We've stayed in a few villas and a hotel (Princess Yaiza) - whichever you decide you won't regret it.

Very true. I to say, I do enjoy taking a drive to PB a couple of times each trip. The beach below the Princess Yaiza is excellent.

All over the island you'll find everywhere is geared towards families. We love it!

Plus one for Costa Sal have stayed there 3 times with young kids, much prefer Matagorda to PDC and as you say its just a short taxi ride away

A great option is Sands Beach in Costa Teguise - lots of activities for kids including a kids club during the day and a kiddie disco in the evenings -
